1. Regulatory status

Capital Advantage is an analytics and research software platform. We are not:

  • A SEBI-registered Investment Adviser (RIA).
  • A SEBI-registered Research Analyst (RA).
  • A SEBI-registered Portfolio Manager (PMS).
  • A SEBI-registered Stock Broker or Sub-Broker.
  • A SEBI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor. (ARN registration pending.)

We therefore do not provide personalised investment advice, issue buy/sell recommendations, manage client money, or execute trades on your behalf.

2. Nothing here is investment advice

  • Screens, backtests, reports, attribution, risk metrics, and AI-generated commentary are informational outputs of software tools.
  • They are not recommendations, solicitations, or offers to transact in any security.
  • You should not rely on anything on the platform as the sole basis for an investment decision.
  • Consult a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser before acting.

3. No guarantee of accuracy

  • We source market data from licensed providers (TrueData, IndianAPI) and official endpoints (NSE, RBI).
  • Data may be delayed, inaccurate, or incomplete.
  • We make no representation that any data, analysis, or forecast on the platform is accurate, complete, or current.

4. Past performance

Past performance of any stock, fund, strategy, or backtest is not indicative of future results. Backtests are hypothetical, do not reflect actual trading, and do not account for slippage, taxes, or market impact.

5. Risk of investing

  • Investing in securities, mutual funds, derivatives, bonds, commodities, forex, and crypto involves risk, including the risk of losing your entire capital.
  • Derivatives (options, futures) carry leverage and can result in losses exceeding your initial margin.
  • Mutual fund investments are subject to market risk. Read all scheme-related documents carefully.
  • Crypto is unregulated in India and highly volatile. Only invest what you can afford to lose.

6. Data sources and attribution

We source market and corporate data from licensed data vendors and official Indian market endpoints, including:

  • Equity prices, corporate actions, financials, and FII/DII flows — licensed institutional data vendors.
  • Mutual fund NAV and scheme master data — AMFI.
  • Fixed-income reference rates — RBI.
  • Macroeconomic indicators — public and licensed data providers.

Specific vendor names are disclosed to enterprise customers under NDA on request.

7. Conflicts of interest

  • Capital Advantage charges subscription fees for paid tiers. We do not earn commissions on trades you execute, advice you receive, or securities you buy.
  • If and when we register as an AMFI mutual fund distributor, we will earn trail commissions on funds you invest through us. We will disclose this on every screen where fund execution is offered.
  • We do not accept payment from issuers, listed companies, fund houses, or brokers in exchange for favourable treatment or ranking.
  • Founders and employees may hold personal positions in securities discussed on the platform.

8. AI-generated content

  • Some features use large language models (LLMs) to summarise data or answer questions.
  • LLM output may contain errors, hallucinations, or outdated information.
  • AI output is informational. Verify independently before acting.

9. Third-party content

  • News, analyst ratings, and company filings surfaced on the platform are produced by third parties.
  • We do not endorse third-party views or recommendations.

10. Jurisdiction

Capital Advantage is designed for users based in India. Use from other jurisdictions may be subject to local laws that we do not warrant compliance with.

11. Grievance redressal

For complaints about the platform, email grievance@capitaladvantage.finance. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and resolve within 30 days.
