Capital Advantage is an investment analytics platform for Indian investors. It covers seven asset classes — stocks, mutual funds, derivatives, fixed income, commodities, forex, and crypto — with tools like Portfolio X-Ray, stock and mutual fund screeners, Brinson-Fachler attribution, Fama-French factor analysis, options Greeks, and a quant lab. It analyzes and explains; it does not place trades or give buy/sell recommendations.
Yes. During launch, every feature is free with no card required. Core tools like Portfolio X-Ray, the stock screener, and the mutual fund screener are free to use, and Portfolio X-Ray works without even creating an account.
A tracker shows you the current value of what you own. Portfolio X-Ray looks inside it: upload a statement from any broker or AMC and it shows the actual stocks hiding inside your mutual funds, overlap between funds that look different but hold the same companies, over-concentration in single stocks or sectors, and your true sector mix. It is a one-time analysis of portfolio quality, not a daily balance tracker.
It is broker-agnostic. Portfolio X-Ray accepts CAS statements, broker statements from any Indian broker (Zerodha, Groww, Upstox, Angel One, and others), Excel, CSV, and even phone screenshots up to 10 MB. It reads password-protected CAMS, Karvy, and KFintech PDFs without you having to unlock them.
No. Capital Advantage is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst, and it does not give investment advice or buy/sell recommendations. It is an analytics and education platform: it computes metrics, explains them in plain language, and leaves decisions to you. Consult a qualified adviser before investing.
Stock prices come from official NSE/BSE BhavCopy files — the exchanges’ end-of-day records — not from scraping. Fundamentals, shareholding patterns, and corporate data come from licensed institutional data providers. Mutual fund data covers 10,000+ schemes.
Yes. Capital Advantage exposes a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server at capitaladvantage.finance/mcp. Any AI assistant that supports MCP — including Claude and ChatGPT — can connect to it and run stock screens, fetch quotes and fundamentals, analyze mutual funds, and compute option Greeks against live Indian market data.
Yes. The Android app is live on Google Play (search for Capital Advantage or the package finance.capitaladvantage.app). An iOS app is coming soon. The web app at capitaladvantage.finance works on any device.
Statements you upload are used to generate your analysis. Any feature that sends your data to an AI model asks for your explicit consent first, every time, before anything leaves the platform. You can delete your account and its data from settings at any time. See the privacy policy for full details.
